Lazy Point Beach is an unguarded bay beach with a launching ramp. It requires a Town of East Hampton parking permit or launch permit, and swimming is prohibited.

Parking
Town parking permit or Town launch permit
Swimming
Prohibited; no lifeguard
Non-resident launch permit

Drive-on
Town pass, designated areas only

Lazy Point is the end of the road on Napeague Bay. The Town’s page notes a launching ramp that requires either a Town parking permit or a Town launch permit. Non-residents can buy a launch ramp permit for $175, according to the Town Clerk’s fee list.

The beach is open year-round. Swimming is prohibited and there is no lifeguard. Driving on the sand requires a Town drive-on pass in designated areas.

For kayakers and anglers without a Town sticker, the launch permit is the cheaper route than a $600 non-resident parking permit. See the Town permit page for all categories, and Amagansett for the nearby ocean beaches. Hamptons Beach Day covers the water.
