Beach permits by town and village
The South Fork has no single beach pass. Each town, village and park agency runs its own, and the name on your street address decides which one you can use.
Start with the place where you will park. A hamlet such as Amagansett has no beach office of its own: its beaches belong to the Town of East Hampton. Southampton and East Hampton each contain incorporated villages that issue separate permits for their own sand. Pages below say which office applies, what it costs, and what a renter or a day visitor can buy.
