Shinnecock East is a rugged, undeveloped barrier beach park on the east bank of Shinnecock Inlet, with both ocean and bay beach areas. Suffolk County calls it a favorite for striped bass fishing and lets off-road recreational vehicles drive on the outer ocean beach. A hundred campsites on the outer beach are for self-contained campers with a valid Green Key card.
