Wiborg Beach is one of the five Village beaches that need a Village permit, and one of the two that has no lifeguards or day pass. Buying the Town of East Hampton sticker by mistake is a common error. The Village says it gives no refund for it.

The cheap way in

Early mornings work. The Village allows free parking at any of its beaches before 9 a.m. and after 6 p.m. With the sun setting late in July, that is a long evening window. Weekdays between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. require a permit.

Permit prices in 2026

Non-resident season permits sold for $750 online, with a cap of 3,100. Monthly permits sold at $250 for May 15 to June 30, then $300 in July and $300 from August 1 to September 15, capped at 500 a month. See the Village permit page and permit calendar for when 2027 sales are expected to open. East Hampton is the town hub. Beach details are on Hamptons Beach Day.
